As a trusted member of the community, we understand the unique challenges that come with living in Saugerties, from the historic architecture to the proximity to the Hudson River.

The Saugerties Climate and Emergency Water Removal

The Saugerties area is known for its aggressive freeze-thaw cycles, which can cause significant damage to buildings and infrastructure. The aging municipal infrastructure and combined sewer systems (CSS) in Saugerties also create extreme hydrostatic pressure against foundations, making it vital to apply psychrometric science when drying historic masonry, fieldstone basements, and high-density multi-unit structural envelopes. Additionally, the high water tables in the Hudson Valley can lead to hydrostatic pressure, which can cause water to seep into basements and foundations. Our team is well-versed in addressing these regional mechanical failures, including submersible sump pump burnout, thermal expansion pipe bursts, and capillary suction in porous building materials common throughout the Hudson Valley.

We also understand the importance of mitigating Category 3 'Black Water' events, including municipal sewer surcharges and urban flash flooding. Our team utilizes HEPA-filtered air scrubbing and high-capacity LGR (Low Grain Refrigerant) dehumidification to achieve dry standard baselines and prevent microbial colonization. By synchronizing rapid moisture extraction with antimicrobial sanitation, we halt microbial colonization and secondary vapor damage, preserving the structural integrity of Saugerties' historic residential and commercial assets.
